On the track, Owen Likins turned his second day in a row with impressive races. After running a major career best 1: 49.60 800m on Friday night, the freshman turned his attention to the mile. Tech The men’s relay closed the meeting on a high note and claimed 13th place in the NCAA this year with a foursome that have not yet passed the baton to each other. Ryan Champlin took to the blocks and kept pace with the TCU and Baylor relays before passing to Courtney Lindsey. Lindsey ran 46.99 to take the lead for the Red Raiders; Currently sitting on top of the world in the 200m and fourth in the 60m, Lindsey really showed the tremendous range he has. Chancellor Stephenson, who was a rabbi at the 800 meters from Takideddine Hedeilli on Friday night, took over from Lindsey and ran the fastest split of the day at 46.58. Elsewhere on the track, Peyton Ricks finished her weekend with a second personal best. After a PR of 7.43 in the 60m Friday evening, Ricks turned and ran the best indoor 200m of her career at 23.83. In pole vault, Logan Fraley had the best equal career path with a clearance height of 16′-6.75 ″ (5.05m). He tried to raise a bar six inches higher at 17′-0.75 ″.

Tech will take a week off from hosting before welcoming another host of strong programs Feb. 12-13 for the Texas Tech Shoot. The encounter will be streamed live on Big 12 Now on ESPN +.
