CARVERSVILLE, PA — Carversville United Church of Christ will collect clothing for the Allentown Rescue Mission from Sunday, Feb. 7 through Feb. 21.

The Allentown Rescue Mission is a non-denominational Christian social services organization providing goods and services to homeless and impoverished men.

“We are collecting clothing that will not only help keep community members in need of warmth during these cold days but also will help them transition into warmer months ahead,” CUCC missions chair Barbara Burger said.

Suggested items to donate include gently used men’s heavy and light coats, outdoor vests, sweaters, jeans, pants, long and short sleeve shirts, button down shirts, sweatshirts, fleece shirts and jackets, gloves, belts, hats, scarves, shoes and new socks and underwear (size L/XL). Clothing should be placed in plastic bags. Used undergarments and socks will not be accepted.

Items can be dropped off at the Carversville United Church of Christ, 3736 Aquetong Rd, Carversville, PA.
