The best Boxing Day fashion deals for 2020

Before Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Prime Day, there was Boxing Day. The original discount shopping day would normally see us shuffling to the mall to, uh, upgrade our gifts and seek out the best discounts. If you’re still in a shopping mood, here are the best Boxing Day 2020 deals to scroll through online instead, some of which have already started.

Encircled

The retailer: Encircled is a 100 per cent Toronto-made clothing brand that uses sustainable, plant-based materials.

The deal: From December 25 to January 1 save $40 off orders $275+ (with code GIFTME40), save $90 off orders $450+ (with code GIFTME90), and safe $175 off orders $700+ (with code GIFTME175). Starting December 29 at 12 p.m. Encircled will also be running a 24-hour flash sale where you can receive 30 per cent off one of its bestselling dresses. For every order placed during the sale, Encircled will donate a fresh food box to a family in need in partnership with PACT.

Roots

The retailer: The classic Canadian brand is beloved for its iconic loungewear and leather goods. If you haven’t experienced the heaven that is its joggers, now might be your chance.

The deals: Receive an additional 40 per cent off Roots clothing between December 23 to December 30.

RW&Co.

The retailer: Known for polished dresses, jackets and even suiting, the brand has also been putting out reliably great basics that are ideal for winter.

The deals: Running from December 21 to December 25, receive 30 per cent off tops, 40 per cent off bottoms, blazers and dresses and 50 per cent off accessories with an additional 30 p
er cent off clearance. Starting on December 26, clearance will be discounted to up to an additional 50 per cent off.

ALDO

The retailer: The iconic Canadian shoe retailer is a great go-to for on-trend silhouettes and practical styles that don’t break the bank.

The details: Everything is on sale, with up to 50 per cent off site-wide. You’ll also get an extra 10 per cent off when you buy two or more items.

Burton

The retailer: This ski and snowboard apparel brand specializes in gear and apparel for the hills—but its performance outerwear will suit a lockdown winter spent at the local park, too.

The deals: On December 26, save up to 20 per cent off outerwear, snowboard gear, bags and more.

Moose Knuckles

The retailer: The coat brand makes its ridiculously warm parkas and jackets in Canada, with an emphasis on standout shapes and colours and a tongue-in-cheek approach.

The deal: 30 per cent off select styles starting December 18.

Hudson’s Bay

The retailer: The iconic Canadian department store had a big year despite the lockdowns, helping to launch Canadian designer shopping hub Inland online.

The deals: There are quite a few discounts to be found at Hudson’s Bay: 30 per cent off women’s fashion brands like Mango, Club Monaco, En Saison, Moss Copenhagen, Neo Noir and Selected Femme; 20 per cent off Topshop and Topman (with up 65 per cent off when you take an additional 30 per cent off clearance). There’s also a 25 per cent discount on men’s activewear by Adidas, Champion, Columbia and Under Armour. Hudson’s Bay Stripes merch is on sale, with 30 per cent off men’s, women’s and baby loungewear, 40 per cent off clothing and accessories, 25 per cent off winter accessories and 20 per cent off pet accessories.

Mango

The retailer: Think of this Spanish mass fashion chain like a pared-back Zara—less trend-chasing frill and more timeless, covetable staples.

The deals: Although not billed as a Boxing Day sale, Mango’s current promotion offers 50 per cent off womenswear, shoes and accessories. Plus, shipping is free on orders over $75.

Simons

The retailer: Simons truly has something for everyone–from homeware to designer fashion.

The deals: Its sale isn’t being billed a Boxing Day event either, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t deals—like up to 55 per cent off sweaters and coats. Plus, shipping over $50 is free.
