Wimbledon is famously known for being the oldest tournament in the world and the most “prestigious.” The first-ever match took place at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London in 1877.

Though many celebrities wear their finest to the match, not everyone uses the opportunity to show off their clothes. On July 7, 1996, during the beginning of the men’s final, a 23-year-old woman named Melissa Johnson wearing only an apron began to run across the court. She was working as a caterer during Wimbledon. The players on the court at the time—Richard Krajicek and MaliVai Washington—were taking a picture at the net before their game began, when they watched the woman lift up her apron.
