Kareena Kapoor Khan is the OG style icon of the film industry. The actress, who gave us Poo – the quintessential millennial fashion queen – has always wowed us all with her sartorial choices. Even when she was pregnant for the first time with Taimur Ali Khan, Kareena made everyone fall in love with her style. The way the actress carried herself and flaunted her baby bump unabashedly was something that was not seen before in Bollywood. And for her second pregnancy too, nothing has changed for Bebo.

Ever since Kareena announced her second pregnancy with Saif Ali Khan, all eyes have been on her sartorial choices. From comfy kaftans to glamorous dresses, Kareena has donned it all and might we add, slayed it too. Although this time she may have skipped the ramp (In 2016, Kareena had walked for Sabyasachi), her many appearances have managed to mesmerise our fashion-hungry souls.

So, now that we know that Kareena is due in February, courtesy her hubby Saif Ali Khan, it is only fitting that for this week’s Fashion Friday, we take a look at the highlights from Kareena’s pregnancy fashion journey. Because boy, it has not been a disappointment.

ATHLEISURE

Kareena made headlines recently when she posted pictures of herself from a photoshoot. For the shoot, the actress wore athleisure and looked amazing too. While in one of the images, Kareena wore a lavender coloured sports bra and training tights, in another, she wore a full sleeve black crop top and tights. She flaunted her baby bump in all the pictures, as she nailed some yoga poses. On-point fashion with a dose of fitness, you ask? We got just that.

KAFTANS

Anyone who has followed Kareena’s fashion journey through the lockdown and her pregnancy knows that comfort has been her mantra. And keeping this in mind, Kareena announced kaftan as her favourite wardrobe piece.

Kareena’s fondness with this comfy ensemble started a whole series, where other Bollywood divas like Malaika Arora and Sonam Kapoor joined Bebo. In these past few months, Kareena has been spotted wearing several pretty kaftans, and each has made a strong case for the outfit.

ETHNICS

One can never go wrong when it comes to ethnic ensembles, and Kareena proved that right. From her bright green and gold-comb-foil print kurta and churidar for Christmas party to the white embroidered silk suit with a bright red dupatta and the off-white silk chanderi suit, Kareena has looked beautiful every time she has made an appearance in ethnics.

PLAYING WITH PRINTS

Kareena aced the print game throughout her pregnancy. The actress knows how to play with bold prints, and her three looks for her talk show What Women Want is a demonstration to that. The asymmetrical striped dress was a fashion lesson on how to ace asymmetrical silhouettes with bold stripe print. For another look, Kareena toned down her bold floral print jacket with a simple black dress, making OTT prints look chic. We also love the tangerine abstract print midi dress that is a perfect look for a casual day-out.

GLAM GIRL

Kareena with her mesmerising looks in the past months has made one thing crystal clear; pregnancy does not mean that playful and glamorous sartorial choices take a backseat. Be it the body-hugging silver dress or the embellished black dress or even the one-shoulder solid black dress Kareena wore, each look has been equally regal and exquisite.

CASUAL CHIC

Kareena’s several outings with her family members in Mumbai gave us a sneak peek into Bebo’s casual looks. Some of our favourite looks included the spaghetti strap multi-colour midi dress and the co-ord piece paired with an abstract print jacket and a boho necklace.

FIGURE HUGGING ENSEMBLES

Kareena has never shied away from wearing body-sculpting dresses, and that did not change during her pregnancy too. The diva made several appearances in which she was seen wearing a figure-hugging dress and slaying the look too.
