Solo art show, farmers market, and thrift shopping in Jersey City

Ink, light, and plastic

A solo show hosted by artist Norm Kirby will take place at 313 Gallery on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 2 to 9 p.m. and will feature Kirby’s newest endeavors in drawing

The show will include three types of drawing: colorful ink line drawings on paper done around Jersey City, photos of light drawings, and 3D pen drawings. The show will be up until Feb. 6. Farmers market winter-spring grand opening

The Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market will have its Winter-Spring grand opening on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Grove PATH Plaza. The winter-spring market will be happening every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. until April 22.

Vendors include Mother Nature’s Beauty Soaps, Gourmet Nuts & Dried Fruit, Vesco Foods, For the Love of Toffee, LLCRiver Valley Community Grains, Stony Hill Farms, Jersey City Fish Stand, Hoboken Farms, R&M Farms, Schieferstein Farm.

Sunday vintage fashion and thrift shopping

Vintage and thrift shopping continues this weekend at Jersey City Mini Mart, Mini Mercado on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 6 p.m. The event features local, sustainable, and vintage fashion finds, home decor, vinyl records and more from Xtina (@Xtina_Moore) and Find and Revive (@findandrevive).

The Gigantic Miniature Show is also still on view upstairs at Deep Space Gallery. Appointments encouraged to view the upper level art gallery by DM’ing @deepspaceJC or emailing [email protected]. Gallery hours can be suited to your schedule, any weekday or weekend day or night. The market and Minature Show are at 77 Cornelison Ave., Jersey City.
